Comment:

 I've added {{{WritableDatabase::commit()}}} as a new preferred alias for
 {{{WritableDatabase::flush()}}}, wrapped it in the bindings, and changed
 Omega and the bindings to use it.

 Adding a new {{{minimise_memory()}}} (or some other name) method to flush
 but not commit is an API addition, so can wait for 1.1.x.
