[Xapian-devel] GSoC Gmane improvements

Good morning.

I'm Tatiana Merkulova, third-year student at Moscow State University, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics.

I'm interested in the 'Gmane Search improvements' project.
I have strong background in C++ and unix system programming. I have some perl-knowledge, but I'm not its active user. Anyway, I think it wouldn't take much time to learn it in detail. 

I would like to know Olly Betts'  vision of this project. Proposed tasks in this field and their priority for Xapian.
