Nobody else has said they want to do either, so feel free to pick
whichever you find more interesting.

I think it makes sense to group mentor the non-GSoC projects in a
similar way to how we're handling the GSoC ones, so just ask questions
on this list, or on IRC (#xapian on FreeNode).
