I'll probably wait for the next version before I implement partial-updates.

WRT QueryParser, I think it would be worthwhile to implement a simple 
Stopper class to replace the current abstract class - not sure what the 
implementation would be though!

By the way Xapian is powering the "keyword" search in Citebase:
