OK, I found it.
The database files for the bugs DB were not world readable, I don't know
why it didn't toss an error but I've noticed that on Irix the error
handling is not quite up to snuff. I frequently get the "Unhandled
exceptions" instead of telling why it threw an exception. In this case,
I suspect he tossed on of those, but it never gets to the xml file, but
ends up in never never land somewhere.
