I assume you mean Jim's recent message?

He wasn't saying "ask questions on the wiki", he was saying his tutorial
would serve as an answer to the question "how do I get started with
Omega".

Think of the wiki as a place to put answers, not questions.

Go to the "Download" page:

The "xapian-core" link downloads the Xapian library, and the "omega" link
downloads the matching version of omega.

Not from us.  If you want to index formats other than HTML and plain
text then you'll want to install various conversion programs.  If you're
using Linux, they're probably packaged by your Linux vendor/distributor.
