I assume this is when trying to build using the source RPMs?

If so, this means you need to install the RPMs for the missing
dependencies.  It's hard to say which ones you don't have unless you
give us more information (like the full error message), but guessing
wildly, make sure you build *AND INSTALL* the xapian-core RPMs before
trying to build the xapian-omega RPM.

If the RPMs aren't working for you, you can just build from source as
Jim describes, although you'll still actually need the same dependencies
installed in some form for omega to be usable.
