The traditional answer is of course "when it's ready"!  I'm hoping we
can release it this month, and we're making good progress, but I won't
be turning the release handle just because the calendar says "April 30th".

If you want to help us towards release, you can download snapshot
tarballs of SVN from here:

http://www.oligarchy.co.uk/xapian/trunk/

Just try them out and report any bugs or other issues which aren't
already in the bug tracker.
