The matchspy stuff (and the new multiple prefix stuff I've been working 
on for the query parser) weren't quite ready for release, so we backed 
them out before making the 1.0.3 tarball.  They'll be appearing back on 
HEAD later today.

So, yes, they're still considered experimental.
