I assume if the 'iamflint' file contains 'IAmFlint'+somebytes (and not  
just 'IAmFlint') then it implies chert and not flint, right?

I set XAPIAN_PREFER_CHERT to 1 prior to indexing, but I just want to  
confirm that the chert backend is being used since the 'iamflint' file  
name hasn't changed.
