maybe i have misunderstood but that seems to be concerned with incoming
date ranges , in my situation my input is  absolute dates from an email
header. It is the query that i want to contain date ranges . I was
wondering if the parser could interpret them or how i might add code to
do that myself .

Having read your reply to torsten's post about boolean prefixes i can
see that might help me apply date filtering  .
