You can use a stub database (briefly mentioned in the overview[1],
search for "stub") that references db1 and db2 as default, i.e. create a
text file called default with lines

auto /path/to/db1
auto /path/to/db2

or somesuch. Mind you, I only found out by having Olly point it out
after he saw a patch of mine implemnting a glob for default* or
something. I wonder whether it's worth adding to the wiki FAQ (possibly
joint with the question about document ids in these DBs).
