It's certainly -finding- the correct shared obj:
libxapian-1.1.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libxapian-1.1.so.1 (0x00dc0000)

Same with the stable version (which works fine, sans chert):
libxapian.so.15 => /usr/local/lib/libxapian.so.15 (0x00de3000)


I'm missing something obvious here since I've been using svn for ages.
I also removed /usr/local/lib/libxapian* and installed from scratch, etc.

Any other suggestions?
