I was the maintainer of this, and sadly haven't managed to keep it up to 
date. However I can say that you should look for a file 'deps.d' as 
detailed in the README file included with the win32 MSVC build files 
(look from around line 50). This should help you trace the problem.

The MSVC build process, although necessary for some (i.e. those wanting 
to link with MSVC-built DLLs such as Python) was always a horrible hack 
I'm afraid and the dependency checking stuff is one of the nastiest parts!
