Lua bindings package for Debian?

Mostly nobody's done the work to package it yet (I think you're
the first person I've seen ask about it).

If you're interested in working on it, that'd be great.  Otherwise
I'd suggest opening a wishlist bug (either in xapian's trac or the
Debian BTS).
