 i am having the same problem - on debian with apache 2 + prefork,
 mod_python-3.3.1, python 2.5.1 and xapian+bindings 1.0.6

 i have tried using: PythonInterpreter main_interpreter
 in my apache config .. but it doesn't change anything .. - i have verified
 that the setting is working by outputting req.interpreter:
 main_interpreter ... so no idea what i missed ?

 do i have to compile xapian-bindings with a special option or something ?
 any idea what else i could try ? (other than not using mod_python or
 xapian)
