Comment:

 Flint and Chert Database now have the ability to be closed "permanently",
 which would allow an easy implementation of this, I think.

 Marking this for 1.1.1, since it's more plausible to implement now, and
 would be very useful to me (but I don't want it to block 1.1.0).
