Comment:

 stemming.html (soon to be .rst) even (wrongly) claims we have such lists
 in xapian-data!  I'm commenting that out for now, but marking this for
 consideration for 1.2.7 - just dropping the stopword lists into xapian-
 data would be easy to do.
