New description:

 The runtime crashes when a script tries to use a `MatchDecider` subclass.
 In this case, the [http://xapian.org/docs/bindings/php/ bindings
 documentation] recommends to stick to PHP 5.3 for now. Since the upstream
 support for this version did end on 14 August 2014, this is no longer an
 advisable option.
