 {{{--disable-remote}}} now works with git master - I've made it also
 disables replication (not entirely logical from a user point of view, but
 they share most of the network code so it makes sense from the
 implementation side).

 I've also fixed various issues so disabling '''all''' backends builds
 cleanly.

 I've not tested all possibly combinations though.  Not planning to
 backport to 1.2.x.
