Dhruv — that’s great. You should work through the guide for potential GSoC students <http://trac.xapian.org/wiki/GSoC%20Guide> which will get you up and running with the source code. Getting into the way it works will help you write a strong proposal. I’d recommend choosing one idea and focussing on that, as it takes time to prepare a good submission.

In terms of discussing your idea, it’s helpful if you start building a concrete proposal of what you’d do and how you’d approach it, so we have something to talk about.
