Yes, I have skimmed through the starting guide and build the project as
suggested in xapian-core/HACKING. I'm still trying to read more about the
project and relevant topics to gain more intuition and confidence.
(Learning to Rank stabilisation).

I also looked at the future work section of this project done during the
last summer. I want to pursue two things as of now (for next two-three
weeks)-  Writing automated tests for the API (it would be helpful if
someone could get me started with this), and second, I want to integrate
ranker ListMLE /AdaRank (I prefer ListMLE first). I noticed that available
rankers point to certain research papers. It would be helpful if you could
advice me regarding which research paper to follow (in case some particular
approach is to be followed in xapian).
