This is assuming the upgrade actually works. The Debian upgrade from
woody to sarge is almost impossibly painful, and none of the usual
methods that should guarantee a consistent system work. So I'm very
much at the mercy of the latest bodged package manager wrapper, in
which I have only limited faith :-(
