Except that it's really, really useful to have packages put things in
cgi-bin directories, away from the main server, if you want to run CGI
with privilege separation using something like userv.

Or do you mean "dedicated" as in "system-wide"?

It puts it in $PREFIX/bin/cgi doesn't it? That feels odd to me, but
not too odd I guess. I'd probably prefer $PREFIX/bin/viewvc or
something, to be honest.
