[Xapian-discuss] xapian installation on Linux Gentoo

Hello,

anybody out there has experience and can give me some tips about installing
latest xapian (and PHP bindings) on linux Gentoo?

I'm completely new on Gentoo an somewhat lost about the best way to install
xapian on that machine: perhaps there is a better way than ./configure &&
make && make install.
