I'm not sure I've seen this error before, but the log doesn't mean much
to me I'm afraid.

We've been having some issues with trac hanging and also with its memory
usage soaring, and at present I believe James has a cron job which
restarts trac periodically to work around these issues (which is
probably how this "fixed itself").

I think we should considering upgrading to a newer trac release as this
fixes a bug which sounds very much like the hanging scenario at least:

I've encountered this when restarting firefox and restoring existing
tabs with a lot of Xapian trac pages amongst them - it's clearly
undesirable that it's so easy to mount a DoS attack!

Upgrading to the latest release means that we can usefully report
remaining problems to the trac developers, which I don't think we can
while running an RC of an earlier release.  As things stand the likely
response is "does this happens in the latest release?"
