[Xapian-discuss] Can be Xapian used to perform standard SQL statements?

Hi Olly,
I see whats happening behind. I suppose that Xapian is opening the databases
as is with "dbi2omega" and indexing the content, probably the same way as
should be done with other sources as PDF, HTML, etc... I thought that Xapian
had a database layer as Sphinx that has support for MySql and PG.
I'm thinking to do Xapian accesible to javascript in my server, if Xapian
had a layer to connect with DB had no sense to maintain the SQL wrapper
that I actually develop focusing only in the Xapian wrapper. Hope this helps
you to make a big picture of it.
