[Xapian-discuss] Xapian 1.1.4 (release candidate for 1.2.0) released (take 2)

This is an updated release announcement for Xapian 1.1.4. The change is
that the previous version had a xapian-core tarball which hadn't had its
version bumped from 1.1.3 (but all other changes intended to be in it were
present). I've updated the version and rebuilt that tarball. The others
are unchanged.

I'll preserve the rest of the announcement below (aside from updating the
xapian-core tarball checksums) so there's a single message to link to and
for people to check signatures on.

We're getting really close to releasing a stable 1.2.0, and I think this is
a possible release candidate. So please try it out and report any issues
you find. We're hopefully looking at a 1.2.0 release later this month.

However, this is still nominally a development release with the usual
provisos about ABI and database formats potentially being subject to change
(though database format changes are unlikely now).

If you make binary packages of this release, please make sure that
they are very clearly labelled as not being a stable version, and if
possible ensure that they can be installed in parallel with the stable
version (the default paths and program suffix are set to help make this
easier).

I've not yet put together release notes or a download page for the
development series yet, but you can read the full lists of user-visible
changes here:

Note in particular that 1.1.4 includes all relevant changes which were in
1.0.18.

This announcement is GPG-signed, so if you can establish a trust chain
to my key, and you verify the checksums, you can be confident that the
tarballs you downloaded are the same as those I uploaded (even if you
get them from a mirror). If you can't establish a trust chain, you can
still verify the checksums (and also see that the same key is being used
to sign each release, at least since I switched to a new key starting
from 1.1.1 and 1.0.14).

As always, if you encounter problems, please report them here, or to
the bugtracker: http://xapian.org/bugs

Cheers,
    Olly
